APULEIUS, Lucius
---- Roman orator, philosopher, and novelist.
Born c. 123 A. D., of wealthy parents, at Madaura, in North Africa.
Date of death is uncertain.
Educated in the populous and tumultous city of Carthage, Apuleius later extended his studies in Rome.
His most appealing work is "The Golden Ass."
