Of Bernini's early secular groups one was made for the garden of the VILLA MONTALTO, where it rose above a pool SURROUNDED BY ROMAN STATUES.

Three were made for the VILLA BORGHESE, where they stood, as they still do today, AMONG ANTIQUES.

And one was installed in the VILLA LUDOVISI, among the Roman statues which are now in the MUSEO DELLE TERME.
