In the fresco, Alessandro Magno's beloeved Hephaestion, "leaning on a very handsome youth", the marriage god Hymen. Alessandro's bisexual lovelife apparently appealed to the patron.

Elsewhere in Chigi's villa, Pietro Aretino reports a marble of a satyr assaulting a boy.
