One of a group of anonymous Latin couplets compares CELLINI's hands to those of

MIRONE
SCOPA
PRASSITELE
FIDIA, e
LISIPPO.

Another has recourse to the old "topos" of Cellini descending from heaven to produce the PERSEO, and sill another reads:

natura artis erat ---. "Nature was once the archetype of art; but since Cellini cast the PERSEO art has become the archetype of nature."
