DECAMERON.
--- Giovanni Boccaccio, the Italian author of the "Decameron", published in 1353, is one of the DOMINANT literary figures in world literature.
Yet his "Decameron" has been variously attacked, banned, and censored -- since the fifteenth century.
The Decameron is a collection of one hundred stories, narrated over a period of ten days in the life of a group of young people who fled for safety from a Florentine plague to an abandoned villa.
