Day and Son Lithographers

Lawrence Macdonald (1799-1878) was a Scottish sculptor.
He was born at Findo Gask in Perthshire, Scotland.
In early life he served as a mason's apprentice. Having shown an aptitude for stone carving, he became an art student at the Trustees Academy, Edinburgh. By the help of friends he was enabled to visit Rome, where together with other artists he helped to found the British Academy of Arts. He returned to Edinburgh in 1826. In 1829 he was elected a member of the Scottish Academy. From 1832 until his death his home was in Rome. Wikipedia

Wyatt, originally a Londoner, was the son of a carver and gilder. He left England in his twenties when he was invited to work in Rome at the studio of Antonio Canova, honing his skills there alongside John Gibson, and moving on with Gibson to the studio of Bertel Thorvaldsen when Canova died. Although he settled in Rome permanently, he often exhibited at the Royal Academy and some of his works were also displayed at the Great Exhibition. From the Victorian Web.

The Louvre Museum was originally named the Musée Central des Arts, Napoleaon brought his spoils of war back to Paris and contributed to the large collection. Most of those works were returned to their original owners. The book these prints came from was a work of art in its own right and had contrubutions from the greatest artists and engravers of the day. It is a catalog of the works in the collection in 1815.
Jean Duchesne Ainé was conservator of the Department of Prints in the Bibliothèque Impériale from the age of 15 until his death 60 years later.
