Speranza
Via Ovid's "Heroines", Fedra had made her way onto many early librettos. She is mentioned explicitly in operas on Arianna, Dido, Medea and Hypsipile.
An early case: Faustini, "Egisto" -- has Fedra along with Dido as criticising Cupido for his tricks -- and in the league of abandoned women.
