Marco del Buono and Apollonio di Giovanni, "Pyranus and Thisbe", cassone panel, Metropolitan Museum of New Yrok, a painting showing Thisbe about to kill herself after finding her lover Pyramus dead.

Crouching at a well is the lion which had frightened Thisbe away and stained her cloak with blood, thus causing Pyramus to hink her devoured and to kill himself.

The panel belonged to the collection of Giovanni P. Morosini, presented by his daughter Giulia in 1932.
