The Original Dixieland Jazz Band plays at the Hippodrome, London, as part of the musical revue, “Joy Bells”. April 7 1917.  After a tour of variety theatres, the band secured an engagement at the Hammersmith Palais de Danse commencing on November 28 1919 and running, in all, for nine months.
