Speranza

It is ROMA's contribution to language, law, engineering, and political institutions that are most often perceived as its major legacy, taking precedence over its artistic achievements.

BUT ARGUABLY, it can be said that he Romans' greatests accomplishment was their appreciation of Greek statuary.

Despite their overwhelming military and political superiority, the Ancient Romans looked to the subject peoples of the Greek world for INSPIRATION in the arts.

By embracing Greek styles and tastes, the ANCIENT ROMANS preserved and fostered an artistic milieu that has become synonymous with Western Civilisations, as we knew it!
