Grice ed Ambrogio

AMBROSE (fourth century AD)

Originally from Trier, Ambrose is usually associated with Milan where he

became bishop in AD 374 and died in AD 397. He wrote a major work on ethics,

On the Duties of Priests, which relies heavily on the On Duties of Cicero. In it he

discusses Christian ethics with special reference to the clergy.
