GRICE E POLEMARCO: O PLATONE IN ITALIA -- ROMA -- FILOSOFIA ITALIANA -- LUIGI SPERANZA

Grice e Polemarco: o PLATONE IN ITALIA – Roma – filosofia italiana – Luigi Speranza (Thurii). Filosofo italiano. He comes from a very rich family and owns the villa in Piraeus where the ‘Republic’ of Plato is set, and in which he is featured as the host and participant. He lives most of his life in his villa at Thurii, except for a very brief sojourn in the countryside of Attica – across the pond --, where he unfortunaly falls foul of the rustic rulers and is condemned to death. The events of his last days are recounted by Plato in “Lisi”. Refs.: Cuoco, PLATONE IN ITALIA. Polemarco.
