The Mouth of the STONY CREEK, Long Island Sound, once the border between Branford and Guilford

Speranza

The western boundary of Guilford, separating Guilford (on the east) from Branford (on the west), was a straight line from the mouth of the Stony Creek to the centre of Pistapaug pond, where in a single monument was the corner boundary of the four towns of Guilford, Branford, Wallingford and Durham. This pond is a mile long from south to north, and a half a mile wide.
