The de' Medici started to show increasing signs of wishing to bring their collection to FIRENZE rather than leaving them in the VILLA MEDICI in Roma.
The arrival from ROMA of a "AMORE E PSICHE" in 1666 and 1669 (in some secrecy) of a statue from the Ludovisi collection, L'ERMAFRODITO, are indicative of this trend.
