SEVERAL STATUES presented by Sesto IV (Della Rovere, 1471-1484) ADDED to the dignity of the PALAZZO dei CONSERVATORI, noteworthy among them which were the "COLOSSAL HEAD", supposed to be DOMITIAN, which was placed BELOW the last arcade of the LOGGIA facing the FORO, and the MILLENARY BRONZE "LUPA" venerated by the ROMANS, which figured above the main entrance.
TWO COLOSSAL statues of RIVER GODS, coming from the Baths of Costantino on the QUIRINALE were placed at the sides of the LUPA.
