The Operas of Vivaldi (from "Ottone in villa" 1713, to "Feraspe" 1739)

Speranza

This is a more or less complete list of the operas of Antonio Vivaldi (1678–1741).

Vivaldi claimed to have composed 94 operas.

In fact, fewer than 50 titles have been identified, of which the scores of 20 or so operas survive, wholly or in part.

Moreover, the practice of reviving works under a different title and of creating pasticci has confused musicologists.

All Vivaldi's works are described as dramma per musica, approximately equivalent to opera seria.

Key:
music completely lost
music preserved at least in part
