Speranza
This is some grand palace.
It overlooks the square commonly known as "Piazza d'Isola".
It was designed by PALLADIO for GIROLAMO CHIERICATI.
The palace was inherited from GIROLAMO CHIERICATI to his son, VALERIO CHIERICATI, who lived here.
It remained with the CHIERICATI family until 1838 -- when it became a "museo" for the city.
The frescoes include
1. DAY AND NIGHT: Apollo in his chariot and Diana in her own.
2. EAGLE and THUNDERBOLT
3. DOLPHIN
4. SERPENT
5. URSA MAJOR
6. SHIP
7. CANIS MAJOR
8. WHALE
9. RIVER ERIDANO
10. KRATER
11. HYDRA
12. AQUARIUS and PISCES
13. PEGASO and EQUICULO
14. CANIS MINOR
15. CROCODILE chained to a palm tree.
