The Pootatuck Yacht Club, Stratford, Long Island Sound.
In 1903, the Lewis Oyster Company moved from Stratford to Bridgeport and
left its oyster house to the Pootatuck Yacht Club.
The club dressed up the building and added porches and mooring spots in the
ancorage.
In 1927, contractor Sterling Filmer cuilt a brand new two-story clubhouse
on pilings, surroundd by verandas.
