Speranza
FAIRFIELD, Connecticut, Long Island Sound, New England, was founded in 1639 by Roger Ludlowe.
The land had been called UNCOWAY, meaning, 'looking forward; a valley".
In 1640, Ludlowe changed the name from UNCOWAY to FAIR FIELD.
