• Tribune of the people, then Consul, A. U. C. 648; and subse quently Proconsul of Asia. His ancestors had been both Censors and Consuls. All that is related of him is, that he was in high esteem with Augustus, who supported all his own plans by the reasonings of this great lawyer.
