The Henry Clay Frick House was the New York City residence of steel magnate Henry Clay Frick. The mansion is located at 1 East 70th Street and Fifth Avenue.
It houses the Frick Collection today.
The house was designed by Thomas Hastings and constructed in 1912-1914.
It was built on the site of the Lenox Library, today part of the New York Public Library, a monumental neo-Greek building designed by Richard Morris Hunt.
The house is set apart from Fifth Avenue by a garden that is enclosed by an iron rail fence. The main entrance is from 70th Street.
