Speranza
At the inagural concert of the Monte Carlo Opera, on Jan. 24, 1879, Victor Capoul ws the first to mount the stage.
He kept his black felt hat on his head, and held in his hand a silver-headed cane.
From the left pocket of his coat one noticed the edge of a lical silk handkerchief.
His air was warmly applauded.
