"I love Paris"
Feuer and Martin followed their first two shows with Porter's final two works.
Porter had been undergoing a rough period, with increasing deterioration of his legs, a 1951 nervous breakdown, and the death of his mother (to whom he was devoted) in 1952.
CAN-CAN managed a fair-sized success despite a lukewarm critical reception, and Porter enjoyed his final hit show tune, "I love Paris".
Stealing the show was Gwen Verdon.
