Grice e Timarato: la
ragione conversazionale e l’implicatura conversazionale della legislazione di
Locri – principe filosofo – Roma – filosofia calabrese -- filosofia italiana – Grice
italo -- Luigi Speranza, pel Gruppo di Gioco di H. P. Grice, The Swimming-Pool
Library, Villa Speranza (Locri). Filosofo italiano. Locri, Reggio Calabria,
Calabria. A Pythagorean cited by Giamblico, pupil of Pythagoras himself. T. achieves
great eminence as a law-giver at Locri. However, Giamblico says exactly the
same thing about a *Timares* of Locri, which is either a remarkable coincidence
or a mistake (“but can’t be both” – Grice). The latter is perhaps more likely,
as on both occasions Giamblico links Timares with Zaleucus – implying (“or
implicating” – Grice) they are the same person. Keywords:
Cuoco.
