François Léon Sicard: "Edipo e la sfinge", 1903, bronze.

Sicard exhibited a cast of "Edipo e la sfinge" in plain bronze at the Salon of 1903.
It was subsequently acquired by the state and is now in the Musée d'Orsay.
The work was also edited in biscuit by Sèvres.
Sicard studied under Barrias and Félix Laurent.
Sicard won the Prix de Rome in 1891 and a gold medal at the Exposition Universelle in 1900. RELATED
