A court in Tuscany finally ruled that Vittorio Emanuele (IV) is the true heir to the Casa di Savoia -- and not his arch-rival, the fifth duke of Aosta --, which has its roots in the north-east of Italy and ruled the whole country after it was unified in 1861.
