Grice ed Almansi

Jabberwocky" has been translated into Italian multiple times

. One notable translation is titled "Il Lanciavicchio" by Guido Almansi. Another translation is "Il Ciarlavotto" by Pierfrancesco La Mura.

Translating "Jabberwocky," a poem famous for its invented words and unique structure, presents a challenge for translators. However, despite this perceived difficulty, the poem has become a touchstone for exploring the complexities of translation. Different Italian translators have employed varying strategies to capture the spirit of Carroll's work, including its nonsense words, rhymes, and rhythms.
